IS 3370 (Code of Practice for liquid retaining structures). This un-cracked concrete depth is distance between extreme fiber in compression to neutral axis. In case the design is based on un-crack section , the un-crack depth of section will be equal to full depth. Contribution of reinforcement in calculation of moment of inertia of un-cracked section is neglected. After getting the BM. due to temperature change a user has to add this moment algebraically to other externally applied BM. |
